WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

At creation, Adam and Eve loved God and each other perfectly. No war, famine, poverty, disease, shame, or damaged relationships. We were made for the Garden of Eden and God’s New Heaven and Earth–perfect harmony with God, each other and our world. (Genesis 1-2)

 

SO WHAT WENT WRONG?

We disobeyed God, blamed each other and no longer cared for the world as we should (Genesis 3). Though we are the supreme affection of God’s love, we are self-centered and rebellious- deserving spiritual, physical and eternal death (hell).
 

WHY DID JESUS DIE?  

                            
God loves us so much that He doesn’t want one person to be apart from Him now or eternally. Yet, He cannot excuse or overlook our sin. So, Jesus died in our place on the cross and rose again.  When we turn from our sin, trust and follow Him, we are restored back to who God created us to be in perfect harmony – loving God and others both now and forever.
 

WHAT DOES GOD WANT ME TO DO?

Change happens when we confess our sin to God, trust Jesus to forgive us and empower us to love Him and others with all our heart.
 
Does this prayer express the desire of your heart?
 
“Dear Lord Jesus, I need You. I know that my sin has broken my relationship with you and others and is part of the reason why this world is the way it is. No matter how hard I try I cannot ultimately fix this problem. Thank you for dying on the cross and rising again for my sins. Take control of my life, take me to heaven when I die and help me live for you now, loving you and others with all my heart.
 

I’VE TRUSTED JESUS - NOW WHAT?

 
Know…That Jesus has you covered.
  •       He’s forgiven all your sin.
  •       He’s now living in you.
  •    He will take you to heaven.
  •     He’s coming back to reign over a New Heaven and Earth.
 
Go…Tell someone and obey Jesus’ command to be baptized.
 
Grow …now let Jesus live his life through you as your L.O.R.D.!
·         Love- God and people – Jesus’ top priority- Get involved in a church
·         Obey– God’s Word moment by moment
·         Rely – on the Holy Spirit for every detail of your life.
·         Devotions – read God’s Word and pray daily, worship weekly.
 

WHY CHURCH?

Isn’t Jesus and me enough? From eternity God existed in harmony – Father, Son, Holy Spirit. He didn’t put Adam and Eve on their own separate planets. God made us for community from the start.
 
Jesus asks us to be on a mission with Him and His followers. As God’s love works through us, we point the world to Jesus so that they too can be restored to God and His wonderful purpose. (John 17:21-23)
 

OUR MISSION:

·        Love God – daily devotions,  weekly worship
·        Save Souls- pray for and show
     Jesus’ love in word and deed.
·        Grow Believers- connect in small groups
·        Serve Wholeheartedly - meet the needs of the whole person, spirit, soul and body.

 OUR BELIEFS AND MORE

  •    God = Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
      -     Awesome enough to create us to walk with Him, love each other and 
            reign over a perfect creation.             (Genesis1-2)
-         Loving enough to send Jesus to die in our place, rise again and restore us back to our original purpose – to love Him and others now and forever. (John 3:16, Matthew 22:36-40)
-         Holy enough to deserve our full and joyful obedience as He commands us in the Bible, His eternal, true Word. (Matthew 5:17-20)
-         Powerful enough to meet any need. (Philippians 4:6-7,13,19)
-         Personal enough to send the Holy Spirit to live inside each follower of Jesus. (Galatians 5:16-26)
  •  Jesus - died, rose, and is coming again to set up His Kingdom and restore us  and His creation back to His original purpose. (Revelation 21-22)
  •   Salvation - by faith in Jesus from start    to finish.
